At present, we have API Connections with a number of partners and services - we will often refer to these within Engager as Integrations rather than API as it's an easier term to understand.
We have integrations which utilise API connections for services like:
- Companies House
- XAMA
XERO - QBO
- Freeagent
What is an API
An API connection is like a bridge that allows two different apps or services to talk to each other and share information. Think of it like a waiter at a restaurant who takes your order (request), brings it to the kitchen (the other service), and then delivers the food (data) back to you.
With an API, one app can ask another app for specific information or services, like checking the weather, sending a message, or processing a payment. This helps apps work together smoothly without the user needing to do much.
Will Engager have an OPEN API connection
We really appreciate the interest from developers and users wanting to integrate with our software. Right now, we don't offer an open API, as managing it and responding to requests can be time-consuming when there's so much stuff we want to develop and deliver. While it’s something we see as a great opportunity for the future, our current focus is on other priorities.
We’re excited about the potential of opening up our API down the road and will keep you updated as things progress.
