How do firms do fee reviews in Engager?
Quick answers to help you get the most out of Engager
Our top tip is to create a fee review service that reoccurs when you set it to for each service. Make sure you mark it as an internal service so it doesn’t show on letters of engagement, then do the review when the job appears on the Jobs screen.
To set this up, go to Settings > Jobs > Services and select + add custom service. Set how often it repeats in Default frequency: and set Internal only: to yes. Services marked as Internal only are not included in LoE or fee tables sent to a client.
To carry out a review we suggest reading through the services you have turned on for the client and checking they still need them and if they need any new ones. As you do this, check the answers you have put for each service in the client's Services & pricing step (the pricing factor sections under Other information) to ensure they are still correct. Transaction volumes and turnovers often change, as do number of employees, so it's worth keeping them up to date. Once done, press save at the bottom.
The next step is to regenerate the LoE, from the client's Proposal, LoE & LoD page, which will now be populated with the new services and/or pricing.
If fees haven’t changed then you can just email the client saying you have done the review and no changes are required at this time, but we recommend x y z services be considered, and here’s a link to a diary to book a call to discuss.
The Fee review dashboard widget
Your Dashboard also has a Fee review widget showing how many reviews are necessary. A fee review is Necessary when a team member has flagged, as part of their day-to-day work, that the client’s fee should be reviewed. Select show details to open Fee Review Details, which lists each Client name, Service name, Service statutory deadline and whether the Fee Review is Necessary or Unnecessary. You can show All, Necessary or Unnecessary reviews, and select Export to CSV to download the list.
